something worse...

It's midnight and we're both exhausted after being at Sierra Vista all day. Tonight, after performing a biopsy and taking out one whole lymph node, the doctor came out and told me that it looks like Cara has Hodgkins Lymphoma. Cara tells me that when the doctor told her the diagnosis she responded by telling him about the fun and spunky short hair cut she was planning on having if her hair is going to fall out from chemo.....she was just coming out of the anesthesia and was a little loopy. Apparently, out of all the cancers, this one is really treatable, and we'll know more in two days with the official results. Our world is spinning right now, but we need some sleep...and we're resting in God's goodness and presence. Thank you for your prayers, your calls, and your visits--keep praying!!! We love you all.

Hi Keith,

Got a email for prayer from your mom & dad, about Cara's situation. So sorry to hear about this.

My sister, had Hodgkin's Disease at least 20 years ago. By the time they found out about it, it was in a lymph node near her heart, and was HUGE!! At least the size of a grapefruit or larger. But since hers was further along, they had to do Chemo and radiation. She's doing wonderful today!

We know God is in control and He will take care of Cara, and you and the babies. We will sure be praying for you guys! Keep us posted.

Love in Christ!

Keith & Cara - This blogging is new to me, I thought I had already sent this message. Praise the Lord, Cara has a treatable lymphoma. I have a dear friend about Cara's age that had Hodgkins (30 years ago) had the cancer removed and went on to raise 3 healthy kids. She has enjoyed her family all these years. Our God is able! ~Auntie Jan & Uncle Ted~
