We're Back! Pt. 2

On to Hume Lake! That place is amazing. 8 days up there were just what we needed since, honestly, we had been feeling so frazzled and completely drained. Up there, we tried not to worry about what we ate. We didn't think twice about what to wear. We ate an insane amount of ice cream (and one delicious peppermint Hume shake). We tried to be spontaneous. We canoed, swam, biked, read, made new friends, and dug lots of holes in the sand. We had a vacation. Or a "cation" as Bekah called it.

Sure, it was still stressful and tiring many times because that's what life with two active little girls is. But there seemed to be more moments of clarity, moments where we could watch the girls play and think, "What a gift they are."

Looks like you had a fun time. So did Jen and Brennan not want their picture taken? Would love to have 'seen' them. Glad you got together and had a good adult only trip. Your girls really are amazing. Hugs to you all.

boy, can I agree with the full life of two little ones! I often get told when walking around with my two boys, "you've got your hands full." My reply has come to be, "yes, and my heart, too." Truly, you have yours full, too.

Hi you good looking sweeties:) So glad you did a part 2 so I could have a look at your fun places and the majesty you enjoyed while resting. Yep, I'll bet Keith almost forgot his backpacker/hiking urges were there along for his love for God's creation. We should work on getting him Sunsensor lenses or cool shades like Cara for his upcoming birthday? Love you....Mom
